Calculator for digital photographers and cinematographers calculates sensor resolution in lp/mm, diffraction limit, Dmax and Dmin values from Lab measurements, DOF and hyperfocal distance optimized for given sensor size and resolution, converts between RGB and Lab color spaces and provides interactive tool to calculate sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset, daylight hours, shadow length and other Sun and Moon related data. Sensor calculations Calculate pixel dimensions, pixel size, resolution and diffraction limit. Sun and Moon Plan your landscape photography with Sun and Moon calculator. Get Sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset times and azimuths. Transit times for Sun and Moon. Beginning and end of daylight. Sun and Moon elevation angles. Moon phase and illumination. Length of shadow. Preview position of Sun and Moon from the camera location at given time and location. Interact with the preview to find when Sun will be in the best angle or when Moon appears in the frame. Locations can be entered to the calculator either as a postal address or geographic coordinates. Color conversions Convert values from Lab to RGB, RGB to Lab or between AdobeRGB, sRGB and ProPhoto RGB color spaces. Calculate color temperature, tint and density from Lab values. Get preview of the color on your iPhone. Lens and focus calculations Calculate hyperfocal distance and depth of field in feet or meters. Use your sensor size and resolution to calculate appropriate circle of confusion (CoC) or use traditional, more forgiving DOF formula.
